SHANTI HOUSE, Caulfield

Shanti House is an architectural expression of the client’s yoga practice. By drawing on the concepts of flow, connection and stillness, we transformed a once-contemporary Caulfield home into an open and light-filled residence with a tranquil atmosphere energised with natural light and fresh air. Indoor and outdoor spaces flow from the kitchen at the heart of the house, merging, overlapping, contracting and expanding to support family life. Clerestory windows create a sense of loftiness and vertical windows frame the vibrant hedge. A neutral and timeless palette enhances the sense of spaciousness and serenity.
