It’s important to create a solid foundation before beginning a new project. We call this foundation 'The Brief'.

By discussing your ideas and needs in depth, your designer will set the project in the right direction. She will review your architectural plans, get to know you and your home, and learn about your design vision. After the meeting, a detailed design brief will help guide the design process.

Next its time to get a high level look at how your spaces will work together. We call this 'Zoning'.

Lua evaluates the accessibility and fluidity of movement in your spaces, resulting in a curated mood board that encapsulates your vision and elevates your confidence in making design decisions.

Next is where the magic happens.

Lua will ensure all decor and furnishing selections are proportional to the
size of the room and tailored to your specific spaces, lifestyle, and aesthetic preference.

How to prepare for your consultation?

Start by imagining the type of space you want to create. Don’t just focus on colours and finishes—consider the mood you want to evoke and how you’ll use the space in your daily life. Browsing platforms like Instagram and Pinterest can be a great way to gather ideas and see what inspires you.

What to bring to my appointment?

To best make use of the time allocated you designer will need you to bring along:-

  • Dimensioned floor plans and if possible any electrical layout and interior elevation drawings.
  • Any inspiration images you might have. Think colours, textures, artwork, and furniture styles that reflect your personal taste and help shape the overall look and feel you're trying to achieve.
  • Any photos of the space as well as any pieces you might have that will be remaining in the space such as specific artwork that hold special meaning for you.
  • Any samples of finishes already selected for the space. This helps us coordinate everything seamlessly and create a cohesive design.
