Monica Armani
Architect and designer Monica Armani began her career working with her father, rationalist architect Marcello Armani. In 1996, she and Luca Dallabetta launched the successful product line Progetto 1. By 2005, this project was adopted by B&B Italia, marking the beginning of her collaborations with leading international design firms such as B&B Italia, Boffi, Tribù, Snaidero, Gallotti e Radice, Molteni&C, Moroso, Effeti, Mutina, Teknion Studio, Poliform, and Viccarbe.
Monica Armani's projects blend formal aesthetics, innovation, and engineering, resulting in a distinctive style that integrates industrial design, architecture, art direction, and corporate identity. Her work often features an innovative use of space and specific technical solutions, from lighting and façades to internal divisions and plant design.
Inspired by the great masters, Armani also focuses on temporary structures, addressing contemporary sustainability needs. Her recent projects, such as the Lounge for Poltrona Frau Group and the Corriere della Sera house presented at Expo 2015, set new benchmarks in the field of temporary building structures.
