In Girum Tables
In girum is the nomadic terracotta table designed by Finemateria and made in the historic ceramic district of Nove, in the province of Vicenza (Italy). Produced in a limited edition of forty-five specimens, In girum is the legacy in the form of furniture of the investigation that the Milan's duo composed of Gianluca Sigismondi and Stefano Bassan conducted between 2022 and 2023 around the bed, conceived as a political and artistic platform, an extension of the person and a performative space. The outcome of that investigation, described in the second issue of the magazine in Itinere, published by Bolzan, is the installation Bedtime Stories.
In girum iumus nocte, for which the Finemateria have resorted to the Nove workers, famous throughout the world for working the clay in molds and with manual finishing. In girum bears the title of the installation from which it originates and is a versatile piece of furniture, perfect as a bedside table or side table, ideal for the living room as well as for the bedroom.
